Cheap French Side Table

This has been hanging around for a while. It was in a miserable state...serious scratches to the surface but it was el cheapo and therefore came home with me. Have I mentioned my kids call me "the cheap Mom", yup and I'm proud of it. I sanded the living hell out of it, primed and painted w/ my blue oops paint. These little jars really go a long way and for 50 cents, it's no wonder I stalk the oops table regularly. Any other stalkers out there?

See all those windows just waiting for me to do something with them. I  think I want to attempt make a side table out of one.
A little spray primer and it's looking like it just might have a little potential.
It has this little sliding tray that pulls out. The knob was missing so I added a glass one.

Pictures really do look nicer outside.

Oh and remember this little fiasco? Here is the fabric that was finally chosen.

Notice not a touch of pink or brown :)

The little table is so pretty! The chair turned out great, too! I'm always stopping by the oops paint. :)

I love your table, Sue! It certainly does not look cheap now! Great job and I love the paint color. I have not visited the oops area at HD, but I did once when I was looking for exterior paint for my front door. I got super lucky that day, they had the Behr with primer exterior paint in a quart size in black, which was exactly what I wanted. I'll have to start checking when I go.

Visiting from Met Monday! : )

Darn you SUE!! You have the best luck! I love your new table, and how the chair turned out. Thank heavens you didn't have to go with an ugly pink and brown fabric. Ugh. And man, where is this awesome flea market? I wish there were great places like that in my town.

P.S. Thanks for coming by, I am hoping to get the wax for the dresser tomorrow, my local Annie Sloan stockist wasn't around today.

That table is beautiful! I love its style and color. I'm an oops paint table stalker too. I'm going to have to follow you and see other creations you come up with.
