I find these all the time at the flea market so when I stumbled on this post I knew eventually I would be a copy cat. I know it doesn't say much for my imagination but imitation is the best form of flattery. So, yay you Classic Campbell and shame on me for not being more creative.
But then there are issues. The paper wasn't wide enough so I had to cut a piece and match it up like wallpapering. Easy right? WRONG, the seam was so obvious! Then I brainstormed ways to hide it and came up with this. In the end, it turned out to be a happy accident. Well maybe not an accident but you know what I mean.

One boring bread box primed but probably not necessary. |
All papered up, sprayed semi gloss black and trying out the new knob pre spray paint. Used spray adhesive instead of mod podge. I am loving this stuff!! |
Notice that perfect ribbon on top waiting to hide the obvious seam. Had to take a Michael's run for this but it was so worth it. |
I used the spray adhesive to add the ribbon too. First went with the glue gun but it was all lumpy. |
It looks like a perfectly wrapped present just waiting to be opened unfortunately the gift inside is nothing more than a loaf of bread. I'm going to put this on my web site www.uniquelychicmosaics.com |
I love this and the mistake the ribbon covered was meant to be! Don't feel bad about copying ideas, there are very few new ones out there. i am always scrolling blogs for inspiration. I bet no one has made any bread boxes as cute as your's!
